Todd graduated from White Bear Lake High School in 1983 eager to move on to college in the fall. He continued perusing his passion by playing soccer for Gustavus Adolphus College and graduated with a BA in Accounting and a minor in History in 1987. He achieved his CPA certification shortly after in 1990 and his CITP in 2001. He specializes in accounting, tax as well as numerous business solutions and systems.
Todd spends his time while out of the office passing his talents onto aspiring hockey and soccer players by coaching for the past 24 years. He and his lovely wife Julie have been married for over 6 years now. With his 3 daughters, and Julie’s 3 kids, Todd and Julie have been very busy these past few years raising their very own Zabel Bunch.

Jim ensures that the overall experience at Zabel Sampair exceeds every clients expectation. He is a key relationship manager, and continually analyzes our firm’s capabilities and resources to match our clients needs. With over 20 years of experience working with many small businesses, public and private, in several industries as well as with some of the large investment firms providing him with a broad array of experience in accounting, tax, and small business consulting with which to help guide his clients.
Skiing in the mountains out west is a long time passion. While contemplating the future, Jim lived in Colorado mastering the art of skiing daily and making just enought money to pay the rent. Staying on a low income, lots of skiing diet helped keep his taxes low. Eventually adulthood began to set in and brought him back to Minnesota long enough to finish school, help others navigate the tax mine field, and raise his family.
1989 graduate of the University of St. Thomas ~ received the CPA designation in 1993 ~ a member of the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants (CPA). Jim and his wife Bridget are third generation St. Paul residents and are currently busy raising the fourth generation while looking for an opportunity to ski, play hockey, and grill New York strips on the deck.
